North Vista Hospital is continually prepared for surveys in order to ensure compliance with the highest levels of quality care and patient safety standards as set by Det Norske Veritas (DNV), CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services), the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services and many other regulatory, licensing and accrediting agencies.

North Vista Hospital has been recognized for its excellent performance on social responsibility, receiving an “A” Grade on the Lown Institute Hospitals Index for Social Responsibility. The Index is the first ranking to measure social responsibility of more than 3,600 U.S. hospitals nationwide and applies never-before-used metrics such as racial inclusivity, avoidance of overuse, and community benefits.

North Vista has maintained the Center of Excellence in Bariatrics. North Vista is accredited by the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program. The Surgeons and hospital combine expertise, personalized care, and advanced technology for the Bariatric Program. Along with the Center of Excellence, North Vista has maintained the Blue Distinction Specialty Care Award.

Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery Accreditation & Quality Improvement Program

The American College of Surgeons (ACS) and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) combined their respective national bariatric surgery accreditation programs into a single unified program to achieve one national accreditation standard for bariatric surgery centers, the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP®). MBSAQIP works to advance safe, high-quality care for bariatric surgical patients through the accreditation of bariatric surgical centers. A bariatric surgical center achieves accreditation following a rigorous review process during which it proves that it can maintain certain physical resources, human resources, and standards of practice. All accredited centers report their outcomes to the MBSAQIP database.

Get With The Guidelines® is the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s hospital-based quality improvement program that provides hospitals with the latest research-based guidelines. North Vista Hospital has received the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines®-Heart Failure Bronze Quality Achievement Award. The award recognizes the hospital’s commitment to ensuring heart failure patients receive the most appropriate treatment according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines founded in the latest scientific evidence.

Lown Institute – North Vista Hospital #1 in Nevada for Social Responsibility

The Lown Institute Hospitals Index is the first to measure Social Responsibility for more than 2,700 acute care hospitals and 800 critical access hospitals nationwide. The Index evaluates hospitals on over 50 metrics across categories of health equity, value of care, and patient outcomes.

Rebecca Graham, RN. CNO of North Vista Hospital (North Las Vegas, Nev.). As CNO, Ms. Graham oversees all of North Vista Hospital’s clinical operations, including patient care, safety standards for policy implementation, and processes and protocols for positive patient outcomes. Additional responsibilities include organizational, administrative and nursing leadership, and is involved in all aspects of hospital management, including quality, compliance, risk, financial, marketing and more. Ms. Graham has spent nearly three decades with North Vista Hospital, beginning as a floor nurse and working her way up to her current role as CNO.
